When the sun goes down, it’s aperitif time – Part 2

Continue our journey through the clubs, kiosks between rocks or terraces overlooking the sea to sip a cocktail watching the sunset.

 Blue Bar

Well-known place located in a magnificent position on the dunes of the idyllic beach of Platja de Migjorn, reachable from km 8 at La Savina-La Mola.

The Blue Bar was once the hippie meeting place on the island, and nowadays it is a typical dining venue during the day, changing at sunset when it turns into a music-bar sought by young people, attracted by the environment and  the special atmosphere, with background  chill-out music.

Although not particularly large, it is considered one of the inevitable stages of Formentera’s movida. You can eat on the seafront terrace, if you want to secure a table with a reservation.

10.7 Patrizia Pepe

The most world-class and trendy island restaurant for the aperitif, located at Platja Migjorn as the name says at km 10.7 near Es Calò.

All in sarongs and flip flops to wait for the sunset for the ultimate  swim and music before dinner. It is the local partner of Patrizia Pepe Florence, with the decor of the brand of the same name.

A very glamorous aperitif in a refined setting with a huge terrace for breathtaking views of one of the finest Formentera beaches with DJs featuring exclusive selections of  chill-out and electro-house music until late at night.

Chezz Gerdi

This chiringuito(beach bar) and restaurant was the oldest beach bar in Es Pujols and has been recently refurbished.

A wooden walkway, starting from the waterfront and winding on the beach in the direction of Punta Prima, will accompany you directly to the restaurant.

Ideal for both an aperitif and a dinner, it offers very well  presented and quality  dishes. Well stocked cellar. Need to book to have a table in high season.

Las Banderas

This elegant Moroccan-style room is the meeting place for fashion celebrities, who run away from the hustle and bustle of Ibiza to take refuge in this exclusive setting of verandas, large and soft sofas and cushions.

Located at km 8.7 on the beach of Platja Migjorn, in an oasis of peace and tranquility, this room organizes fantastic aperitifs and banquets on the beach featuring  the best of  Italian-Spanish tradition.

Codice Luna

At the peak on the cliff of the Mola is the local Codice Luna, where you drink spritz, frozen daiquiri and icy margarita accompanied by Pata Negra dishes and tomato bruschette.

Illuminated only by the moon and the lighthouse overlooking the cliff, the room is a wooden terrace with white canvas chairs where a rare peace reigns. Perfect for breakfast and fun during the ‘Full Moon Party’.

Kiosko Bartolo

This is a small chiringuito(beach bar) that is located in the southernmost part of playa Mitjorn, and which has remained  the same for  thirty years  when the first blue painted axes  were assembled to create this family run kiosk with sea-view terrace .

Very few chairs and tables, but one of the best island burgers and sea-view aperitifs.
